Dragon Boat Racing

In September MOET organised their first ever Dragon Boat Racing event at Debdale Outdoor Centre. Over 70 members, colleagues, friends and family members took part in the races. The amazing Manchester Dragoneers provided the boats, helms woman and volunteers to support the event. Manchester Active were the winning team with Ashgate Special School the runners up.

This was the second of two fundraising events that MOET organised this year, the first being the Ghyll Head Challenge weekend held in July. So far we have raised over £2,500 towards an extension to the ropes course at Ghyll Head and an adapted boat at Debdale  to increase the accessibility to outdoor activities for all children and young people. Apart from kicking off our fund raising we have also recruited new members, developed new partnerships and had lots of fun!
