One of our proudest accomplishments is the establishment and continuous support of Adventurous Activity and Outdoor Education programs for children in Manchester.

Ensured Ghyll Head Outdoor Education Centre’s long term future – with 5,000 children and young people from 150 schools, youth groups and organisations, enjoying the outdoors with positive new residential experiences every year.

Raised £10,000 to develop a new Girls and Young Women’s Adventure Festival Roadshow, engaging over 500 girls and young women in new and exciting activities that will inspire and, we hope, engage all in a lifelong love of the outdoors.

Helped refurbish and provide disabled access to Ghyll Head’s boat house, a fabulous facility providing waterbased activity on the banks of Lake Windermere. Over 2,500 children and young people will get wet here every year!

Coordinated and fundraised for a new £40,000 ropes course at Ghyll Head Outdoor Education Centre. 2,500 children and young people will challenge themselves here every year!

Worked with partner organisations, raising £35,000 to develop new opportunities to participate in adventurous activity in Manchester, and to train to become a qualified deliverer!
