MIDAS Minibus Training – Accessible 

MOET have received funding for a brand new minibus. We are working to make this available to Manchester’s Youth Organisations. Drivers must have the MIDAS minibus training in place and we have a small amount of funding available to enable youth leaders to train and qualify.

It’s a short course (typically 2 1/2 hours) that will equip drivers with the skills and knowledge to confidently drive the MOET minibus – and make use of the accessible features ie using the electric ramp, removing seats, fastening wheelchairs.

MIDAS Accessible is suitable for any drivers who will be transporting passengers who need additional support and driving minibuses which have specialist equipment such as passenger lifts and ramps. 

Equipes the driver with the knowledge, skill and experience to drive the minibus.

Insurance requirement to drive the MOET (& other) minibus. 

There are 20 fully funded places available for Youth and Community Leaders from VCSO organisations in Manchester (cost usually £200 per person). These places are funded by the Youth, Play & Participation team and Manchester Outdoor Education Trust (MOET).
